Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we process when you use the Lokmi app, why we use it and the choices you have. Lokmi is used by parents and caregivers; there are no accounts for children.

Who Lokmi is for
Lokmi is a feeding and meal-planning app for parents and caregivers of children from the start of solids to about five years old. An adult opens the account and enters their child's information. Lokmi is not designed to be used by children on their own.
Lokmi is not a medical device or health service and does not give medical advice.
Information we process
The information we process when you use Lokmi falls into these groups, each described below:
- Account and sign-in information
- Your child's profile
- Food Journey and in-app records
- Allergies, dietary needs and reactions (only with your separate consent)
- Subscription information
- Limited information used for AI features
Account and sign-in information
You sign in to Lokmi with a one-time code sent to your email address; there are no passwords. Where the app offers it, you can also sign in with Apple or Google.
Your email address and sign-in identity are kept by our authentication provider. No profile, feeding or health information about your child is stored there. In Lokmi's own database your account is identified by a randomly generated ID, not by your email address.
Your child's profile
To shape suggestions around your child's stage, we store their first name or nickname, birth date, whether they've started solids and your preferred feeding approach (spoon-feeding, baby-led or a mix of both).
You can optionally add your child's gender. It is used only to choose the illustrated portrait on the profile, never for suggestions, planning or AI features.
Food Journey and in-app records
- Food Journey: when you offered a food and whether your child tasted, ate or refused it, with dates; your liked, neutral or disliked marks; favorites and “Don't suggest for now” choices.
- Planning: your weekly plans, meals you keep, ingredients at home and your shopping list (including items you add yourself).
- Saved items: recipes and plating ideas you save.
- Suggestion history: the suggestions first shown on Today and What do you have?. It is used only to vary suggestions, is not a record of what your child ate and is deleted after 30 days.
We use this information to provide the app's features: today's idea, the weekly plan, the shopping list and the Food Journey all rely on these records.
Allergies, dietary needs and reactions
Allergies, dietary needs, allergen introductions and reaction records are sensitive, health-related information. Adding them is optional and only possible after you give a separate, explicit consent in the app.
This information is used to keep the related foods out of suggestions and to show you its history. It is not shared with the AI provider. You can withdraw your consent in the app; once withdrawn, no new sensitive records can be added.
Subscription information
Lokmi Pro is purchased through Google Play or the App Store. The store processes your payment details; Lokmi never sees your card information.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat only receives your randomly generated Lokmi account ID to identify your account, never your email address or information about your child. Our server stores your subscription status (plan, trial, expiry date, renewal status and store) so it can unlock Pro features.
AI features
For the Lokmi AI features in Lokmi Pro, some information is sent through our server to an AI provider (currently OpenAI):
- your language and the names of recipes and foods from our catalog;
- taste signals about foods suitable for your child (for example favorite, liked, not a fan for now, recently tried) and tried counts per food group;
- up to 12 words you typed in What do you have? that the app couldn't match on its own;
- when a new Lokmi AI recipe is created, only a broad stage range (for example “9–11 months”) and suitable ingredient names.
Your child's name, birth date, age and gender, your email address, account IDs, allergies, dietary needs, reactions and consent records are not sent. Age suitability and allergy filters are applied by Lokmi's own rules before any AI is involved; the AI only explains and suggests within those suitable options.
Service providers
We work with the following service providers to run Lokmi. Each processes only what its task requires:
- Supabase: authentication (email address and sign-in identity).
- Railway: hosting for the Lokmi server and database.
- Resend: sending sign-in code emails.
- Cloudflare: storing and delivering catalog images (no personal data) and serving this website.
- RevenueCat: managing subscription status.
- OpenAI: Lokmi AI features, with the limited information described above.
- Google Play and the App Store: app distribution and payments.
Some of these providers may process information outside Türkiye.
Retention and security
Your information is kept while your account is open. Suggestion history is deleted after 30 days. When you delete your account, your information is deleted as described in the next section.
Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted with HTTPS, and we take reasonable measures to limit access to information. No system is completely without risk, however, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Account → Delete my account. Deletion covers your child's profile, Food Journey records, allergy and reaction records, plans, shopping lists, saved items, consent records and your sign-in account, and it can't be undone.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through a store. See Account deletion for details.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal data, such as asking for information about it or asking for it to be corrected or deleted. In Türkiye these rights are set out in the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).
You can edit profile details in the app, withdraw your consent for sensitive information and delete your account. For other requests, see the contact section below.
This website
Lokmi does not set cookies on this site, and the site has no analytics or advertising tools. The site is served through Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it. We store a small entry in your browser's local storage to remember your language choice.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows the last update. We'll announce significant changes in the app or on this page.
Contact
Details of the data controller and a contact address for privacy requests will be added to this section before Lokmi is released in the stores.
